Time is always a valuable commodity in San Francisco, and we like to make the most of it! When there are chores to manage, it’s normally preferred to get things done at once.
Making one appointment is often better than scheduling several to accomplish the same task, isn’t it? For instance, your car’s tires are tread-worn; instead of buying two new front tires, consider getting them all replaced at once. It will save time, and you’ll feel good knowing you are driving on solid tires for your next Tahoe ski trip!
If a bathroom tub is on the ‘to do’ list for a replacement, why not just get the sink and flooring done too? In the end, you’ll appreciate a bright, clean, new space instead of a perpetual remodel.
If you are planning to replace unhealthy teeth, we offer a similar concept with All-on-Four dental implants. The process also goes by ‘same day’ dental implants. It provides a shorter time to see a full, healthy smile. Although the process is quicker, it’s not equal to changing four tires. There is still some preparation involved. But once the mouth is ready for the implants, it’s only one appointment to put them in place.
Speak with us to confirm if you qualify for All on Four Dental Implants
Every patient we speak with has their own unique circumstances. And although a patient may be ready to move forward with same-day dental implants, Dr. Rabinovich needs to verify it first.
There are some standard qualifications to be eligible for oral surgery, such as:
- Bone Density: The jawbone needs to support the dental implants. Slight bone loss may not be a significant issue, but if the bone loss is significant, bone grafting may have to be an option to strengthen the area for the surgery.
- Loss of Several Teeth: The teeth requiring replacement must be in a row. For instance, if you’ve had your upper front teeth damaged or missing, they can be easily replaced with a row of dental implants.
- Personal Health Assessment: Underlying chronic illnesses, such as diabetes and autoimmune diseases, can impact dental implants. Proper health maintenance and good oral hygiene practices will contribute to the success of all-on-four dental implant surgery.
- Personal Modifications: If you smoke, it may be time to stop. Bad habits like smoking can cause dental implants to deteriorate.
- Medication Review: Certain medications can slow down the healing process after dental implant surgery. Dr. Rabinovich reviews patient medications and provides any necessary insight.
Typically, four dental implants are the right decision for a qualified candidate. And if it isn’t, Dr. Rabinovich will find the best, most expedient option for replacing bad teeth.
