Here at San Francisco Dental Implant Center one of the most common questions we get asked, as you might expect, is “what is the cost of dental implants?”
It is a fair enough question but nonetheless one for which we have no “off the cuff” answer. We wish it could be otherwise, but it can’t. There is no simple answer because there are a lot of variables when it comes to the cost of dental implants. For instance, how many do you need? How many missing teeth do you need to replace? One? Two? Three? Six? Ten?
Can you see where we are coming from on this?
Then there is the question of quality. Now here we are going to put our hands up and first, tell you – as you probably know – that dental implants are not going to be “cheap”. If you think you can get a dental implant to replace a missing tooth for $250, forget it.
No dental implants are going to be cheap. But here we want to tell you something else: you will almost certainly be able to get dental implants elsewhere for less than we charge. We’re absolutely serious. We are NOT the cheapest dental implant surgeons that you will find.
Why Would We Tell You That?
Now you may well wonder why we would tell you that when most people even here in the San Francisco Bay Area would tell you something along the lines of “Use us! You won’t find cheaper dental implants anywhere!”
There is actually a very simple answer and it can be summed up in one word: quality.
Yes, you can get cheaper dental implants in the Bay Area, but do you want “cheap” dental implants in San Francisco or ones which are going to last? There are lots of imported dental implants that are made in other countries which cost less than those made in the US. Or would you prefer dental implants of the finest quality which are not going to break down in five years’ time?
Don’t tell, let us guess!
You might also consider a trip over the border to Mexico for dental implants. Again – regardless of quality – they would be cheaper because the cost of living in Mexico is less than in the US. But a word of caution: by the time you have had a consultation, stayed in a hotel while they fit you in, and taken into account the cost of travel, there probably won’t be much difference. That is, even assuming they are using top-quality dental implants in the first place.
One thing that we do offer all patients is this: an initial consult with no obligation. Book an appointment and let us assess your situation.
Then we can give you an exact cost of dental implants, with no hidden charges. What we tell you is what you pay.
The choice, of course, is entirely up to you.
